Pinterest Fridays - Leopard Print!
Thought we'd do a weekly post of global cycle chic inspiration from Pinterest - a little headstart inspiration for the weekend perhaps?

Muuse Meets Cycle Chic
Everybody's making films with bicycles in them these days it seems - it's certainly a very powerful way to spread the bike love. This gorgeous filmette is a collaboration between Copenhagen Cycle Chic and Muuse.com, a brilliantly ethical, sustainable clothing label. Featuring beautiful Velorbis bikes - who could ask for more.
More on the making of here.

Bikes - Fashion!
More clichés than you can poke a stick at and gratuitous boob shots but hey the soundtrack is good and it's nicely shot in black and white and I'm a big fan of their jeans. It also features bicycles so..... we all know sex sells bikes right?

Girls on Bikes
More gratuitously gorgeous girl on bike fashion action, this time from the Phillip Lim Fall/Winter 2011 Collections. Throw in a bit of retro Kraftwerk and there you have it....

Yep Today is All About the Fashion
It's nice to see someone taking notice of the little things. Killer blue heels and matching rims - nice.
We'll be seeing more of Amanda and her beautiful Electra as she's another Opera Australia buddy.
I'm converting them all, one bike at a time....

Classic Audrey Cycle Chic
It seems all you really need to ride in style is a classic blouson sport jacket, cigarette pants and a pair of loafers. Add a classic bike and a cute puppy in your basket and you have it made.

Summer Fun
I love this picture - every time I see it I smile - I think it's possibly the dress and cardigan colour combination - that yellow and turquoise just scream Summer to me. Or maybe it's the caption underneath which reads "Paula - making cocktails". Huh?? It's puzzled and intrigued me, are the guys behind her blending up some margueritas?
Thanks to Velovotee for adding it to the Sydney Cycle Chic flickr group pool.
Got some cycle chic pics to share? Add away - we'd love to see them.

Sneaky Chic
Some days when you're rushing to work you you see her, chic bicycle girl, a flash of colour in a sea of communter suits and it's all you can do to fumble for your phone/camera and take a few shots before the moment is gone.
So, sneaky ferry chic, here it is..... high heels and all.

Something from the Archives
My long suffering, loyal friend Miss Milou joined me for a trip to Melbourne in June for some glamorous protesting. Now I know she's reading my blog - she's on it!
Milou is also possibly the only person I know who rides in Vivienne Westwood - apart from Vivienne herself obviously.

Bike Babe Alert!
Ahead of Sunday's ride, I thought it might be nice to get a little Summer bicycle inspiration. Miss Eva from Cycle Chic Sundays posted this on her beautiful blog recently and then I came across it again today so just had to share.

That Gorgeous Gorman Bicycle
It's not surprising that hip eco-conscious Australian label Gorman has decided to produce a limited edition of bicycles.
Founder, designer and environmentalist Lisa Gorman rides her own bike everywhere and has said of the Gorman team that they are all "extremely fond of the bicycle, both as a mode of transport and as your most important fashion accessory".
In 2008 they even took up home in a recycled shipping container at Federation Square in Melbourne during the Bike Film Festival, designing the logo for the festival t-shirt and giving the BFF audience discount on their clothing range.
These beautiful red and white polkadot bikes are a remake of a vintage style and come complete with basket (but not Scotty dog...). They are currently available in all Melbourne stores and Paddington and Bondi stores in Sydney with plans for more colours if this initial run is a success.
Retailing at AUD$499 I'd say they are the perfect addition to any cycle chicas ensemble and a great way to head in to our summer months!
