Blink and you miss her........
The elusive chic citizen cyclist, flying by. Some days it's hard to get the lens cap off in time but it turns out to be perfectly framed anyway.

One Night in Rio
So the latest addition to the ever-expanding Cycle Chic family is Rio de Janeiro and looking at these photographs of yesterday's launch ride, we think we're going to like Rio!
A lot.
These gorgeous pics were taken by Sherolin Santos on a swivelling Eames chair strapped to the back of Tiago's trike. I mean really. I'm humming a little bossa nova as I write....
Check out more pics in Sherolin's photo album here.
And yes I did a double take too - that is a child in the basket!!!

Mikael from Copenhagen Cycle Chic was in town to "officially" launch the Rio blog and ever the showman, wowed the crowds with his daring bicycle stunts - at least this one didn't end up with a fractured rib like the infamous Barcelona Slow Bicycle Race....

Cycle Chic Sundays Did Art!
What a glorious Sydney winter sunday we had yesterday. We rounded up the chicsters for lunch at the new Deus Cycleworks cafe/store before heading down to Mike Rubbo's exihibition at Tap Gallery.
Great bike art, selling fast, go take a look before it ends on July 17th. Mike is passionate about positive imagery of people on classic bikes as are we so of course we approve. Mikael Colville-Andersen has been imortalised as in fact have I and who knows, maybe you have too!!!
Some hot bikes with their cycle chicster riders.
The owner of these lovely cycle chic approved red boots is Dutch and rides a Velorbis like mine - say no more.
Paul Martin from Brisbane came down to Sydney for the exhibition - this is how I always remember him - the king of looking cool while standing and riding a Gazelle.
Impromptu bicycle parking outside Darlinghurst's Tap Gallery - we kind of took over the street.
I have a thing about riding shoes..... fascinating.
Alacoque is our first beautifully pregnant Sydney Cycle Chicster - looking forward to seeing her in full bloom on her Electra!
Michael and Kathi from the fabulous Feather Brigade heading home as the sun started setting.
Ah the end of a great day - sunshine, friends, food, wine, art and bikes - win!
More pics on flickr as always....

WOOP - The Movie!
The WOOP Festival to celebrate the Bourke Street Cycle Way was a day that will stay with all who attended for a while. It was a day that heralded a new Sydney, a safer biking Sydney and a community spirit that I heard on the day compared to Sydney during the Olympics.
So here's a little reminder thanks to the City of Sydney, cause we can never get enough of happy citizen cyclists.
Bourke Street - it's only the start of it.

WOOP WOOP - Cycle Chic Kids Get Crafty in the Sunshine!
Wow, what a brilliant day we had yesterday. The buzz was incredible as families, hipsters and everyone in between turned out to celebrate the opening of the Bourke Street Cycle Way and join the fun at the WOOP Festival.
The sun shone and Wimbo Park was truly alive with craftalicious fun as kids (of all ages!) upcycled their bikes with our flowers and streamers and bells. Great seeing those handlebar ribbons appear on all the photographs today!

We even managed to get a bit of a ride in - it was so nice to see the kids out in force on the bike lanes.
Check out the rest of our WOOP photos here and if you have photos of the event to share, we'd love you to join and add them to our flickr group (or email me if easier).
Don't forget to like our Facebook page to keep up to date with future events.
So many kisses and thanks to my gorgeous team of helpers and Upcyclers who crafted up a storm!
(Liane, Milou, Heidi, Bea, Samorn, Tanja, Sonja, Jim - THANK YOU x)
And Reverse Garbage and Opera Australia for the bling!

More Cycleway Chic ('cause we can't get enough...)
Shiny happy people on Bourke Street in what we thought were the last days of Summer, or were they?
And yes I really DO try to get out of Surry Hills, honest, but as Michael Corleone said "Just when I thought I was out, they pull you back in..."
I can't seem to escape.

Beach Cruisers on Bourke Street
Ah Sydney Summer and beach cruisers on the Bourke Street cycle way, what more could you ask for?
Will be heading down to Bondi tomorrow for some cycle chic snapping with Miss Joyce from Cycle Style who's visiting from Melbourne.
I've promised her lots of Bondi beach babe bike action and we have a reputation to keep up!
And yes Copenhagen, there might even be some bikini bike shots to warm you up if you're really lucky...
