Bondi Beach Cycle Chic - Part 1

Bondi Beach

Jane in Bondi

Bondi Beach on a HOT sunny Sunday.  I spent a glorious day at the beach yesterday with Miss Joyce from Cycle Style who was visiting from Melbourne.  There is some serious style going on this year - thanks Jane on her beautiful Electra.

If I absolutely must, I'll force myself to spend more time there this Summer documenting the rise of cycle chic.... someone has to do it :-)

Miss Eva's Tour de Chic - Amsterdam, Copenhagen & Oldenburg

Reigning Queen and Founder of Cycle Chic Sundays, Miss Eva, has left her home in sunny California behind to go in search of bicycle heaven on her Tour de Chic through Europe.
And judging by the photographs she is having FAR TOO MUCH FUN in the motherland, meeting up with fellow bicycle bloggers Dave from Portlandize, Marc of Amsterdamize and Mikael of Copenhagen Cycle Chic/Copenhagenize.

Check out her blog for the full story and more photographs.

some global cycle chic to remind us what's important

It's been a tough week.  What with all the bad press surrounding Sydney's new cycle ways and the narrow minded commentary about Australia's mandatory helmet laws, frankly I'm exhausted.

So I thought it was high time we reminded ourselves of what it is we are trying to achieve.  A bike friendly city where all citizens are respectful and coexist happily - urban dreaming ?????

I'm going to my happy place now..... namely Amsterdam.  Thanks to Marc at Amsterdamize for these great pics !  He has about 5 million more on flickr - truly joyful (especially the last one - I'm in a sentimental mood today)
